Hydropower
Sustainalube’s products are ideal for use near rivers and lakes. They are commonly used in hydraulic systems that operate gates and other regulatory components in hydropower plants. Compared to traditional lubricants, they offer several advantages:
No water contamination – the lubricants are non-toxic to fish and vegetation, and their main components can even serve as food for fish. No oil film is left on the water surface.
No PFAS pollution risk – the lubricants reduce wear on components, eliminating PFAS pollution from PTFE-containing self-lubricating materials.
High sustainability – the lubricants contain no fossil materials and are rapidly biodegradable.
No allergic reactions – the lubricants do not irritate the skin, and the low vapor pressure minimizes the risk of “oil mist.”
